First Album 1981 “That’s the Reason I Play” We were married two years and just getting started using Music as a means to share our faith. This project and the second, Cross and Crown were recorded at 12 Oaks Studio in Marietta, Georgia. Randy Bugg and Sonny Lallerstadt were the owners, major players and gave us a lot of great direction in our early days. We were pretty new to all of this. They made sure that our songs were produced as best they could be on our budget. Mark Rutland was a huge influence in encouraging us to use our music as means to communicate our faith in Jesus Christ and we traveled a lot together as worship leaders and did special music at various events with Mark all over the world. Mark and I cowrote lyrics for a few of the songs. We are very appreciative of the encouragement and opportunity Mark gave us and still value his amazing ministry and give thanks for his influence in our lives, personally and in ministry!
Our second album ,Cross and Crown was recorded 1983 at 12 Oaks Studio in Marietta, Georgia. Owen Fulghum, who was the youth pastor at Lakewood UMC, where I was on staff part time, joined us on this album He was a great part of our music and ministry during the early 80s. Our paths continue to intersect and he has continued to be very creative as a musician and a pastor!
Lookin’ For A Heartbreak This was a great collaboration with several friends. Stephen Bashaw, Bryan Wilkes, Mike Wilkes and Jeff Alford and several others were great a part of this project!
“Higher Higher” is the last project Sandy and I recorded together, It is a collection of sing along songs geared for children and teenagers. The album is recorded with and without words. Ready for your own Karaoke praise party.
Richard Christie was a very big part of arranging these songs, which were originally done with just an acoustic guitar. His love for Jesus and talent are a great part of this project.
